Veronica

Veronica turns 2 in December. She is 16 months younger than her brother, so it is only a matter of time before she is running the show. Right now they last about a minute or two before someone gets smacked around. I fear for the boy at times.
The child likes to laugh, makes us laugh and is a good eater. Her best friend is a little boy who lives down the street. When they see each other, they hug and smile before they start to play. She has bitten him and pushed him and pulls his hair on a regular basis and he still loves her.
We have several names for Veronica. Mostly we just call her 'Sister', but she answers to 'Tunes' or 'V'.
Veronica is a big hugger and kisses most everyone.
She walks just like her mother.

Miles

Miles is our son. When well rested and healthy, he is a joy to be around. He drooled a lot when he was younger but now just keeps a moist mouth most days.
Miles is sweet. Melt your heart sweet. I love being his father. Sometimes I can't believe my luck.
Miles likes to read on the toilet. Mostly magazines and newspapers.
He asked me for a new police helmet over 50 times in the car yesterday when we were just going cross town to pick up his sister.
Miles likes firemen, fire trucks, hoses and axes.

Our Family

My family consists of my wife Elizabeth and my two children, Miles and Veronica. Both the kids look like Elizabeth, which I consider a blessing. They are happy kids and we are happy being their parents. Plus, they make a lot of other people happy as well.
Next year we are going to have another child. If it's a girl, Elizabeth wants to name the child 'Bobbie'. This will be our last child. I will confess that I feel old at times reading counting books at 8:30 on a Saturday night, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
The pictures are from the last few years in case you haven't gotten the e-mails.
Come visit us anytime if you can afford a hotel in Berkeley and like hanging out with kids.
Oh yeah, my in-laws live just up the street from us. The kids think they are the best.

Our neighbors

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and the Holtz family is heading west to Bob and Dre's house (they live next door). We reside in Berkeley, California and in our neighborhood, most homes are only a driveway's width apart, so there is no getting around having some sort of relationship with those living closest to you. Blessed with great people on all sides of us, Bob and Dre are family in every sense of the word.

They are fun, quirky and love our kids. What more can you ask for?
Bob and Dre make their own beer, grow lots of stuff in their garden and like to make their own pesto.
The picture of Bob and Dre is over a year old, but they haven't changed much since I took this.
